For the first time in Porto, straight from Pernambuco, Brazil, Guga do Manuel brings a unique Coco de Roda experience featuring both a workshop and a live concert.

Founder of Coco do Manuel and one of the leading artists of this traditional Afro-Brazilian cultural expression, Guga is joined by Ju Evangelista, founder of Baque Flores do Porto, and Coco dos Quatro Cantos.

The programme includes a hands-on workshop with percussion and dance at 4:00 PM, followed by a live concert at 7:00 PM celebrating the music, rhythms and traditions of Northeastern Brazil.

The number of instruments available is limited. Whenever possible, participants are advised to bring their own instrument (pandeiro, ganzá, alfaia, zabumba or claves).
