Jovem Orquestra de Famalicão is the result of an annual artistic residency organized by Casa das Artes, which brings together young musicians from the municipality – whether still in training or already working professionally. For the 2026 edition, the programme includes Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a much-loved work of late Romanticism, and concludes with Rimsky-Korsakov’s evocative Scheherazade, a symphonic journey through the imagination of One Thousand and One Nights.
