Since 2009, the Som da Rua (Sound of the Street) project has given a voice to those who know Porto inside out — through its streets, alleys and early mornings. In partnership with the League for Social Inclusion, this collective is made up of people in extremely vulnerable situations who, through music, transform their harsh experiences into artistic creation.
The concert “Som da Rua na Casa” (Sound of the Street at Home) presents original songs born from this journey, with words and sounds that portray the city with a rare and touching truth. These are stories sung by those who have lived — and continue to live — Porto like few others, in a celebration of dignity, belonging, and the power of music as a space for encounter and transformation.
More than just a concert, Som da Rua na Casa is a moment of profound sharing, where the city hears itself through the voices of those who know it best.
