Electronic funk, viola braguesa, rap, and traditional work songs from Minho – all of this finds a place in the striking single “Minho-Funk” by Ocenpsiea, featuring American rapper and political activist Ghais Guevara, recently spotlighted in the opening of the Super Bowl halftime show. It is the first release from the Braga-based band since 2021, as they continue to explore new aesthetics by blending acoustic and electronic sounds, experimenting with tonal and modal frameworks, and grooves ranging from jazz to hip hop.
