Scheduled for release in the final quarter of this year, Cidade de Cinema is Mazgani’s sixth original album and his first entirely composed of songs in Portuguese. The Iranian-born musician describes it as “a fantasy of silence and transcendence.” Introduced by the single “A Chama”, the album maintains a continuity with the artistic path Mazgani embarked upon nearly 20 years ago, while also venturing into new aesthetic realms.
