Traditional lullabies from different geographies and cultures across the planet, specifically collected in eight countries (Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Angola, Guinea, and Brazil), form the repertoire of “Acalanto”, the new show by Maria Quê. Here, the band of Catarina Silva, Juliana Ramalho, Rodrigo Peixoto, and Pedro Oliveira does what it does best: reinterpret traditional folk songs through a contemporary sensibility that values and encourages the meeting of times, spaces, and their stories – in this case, lullabies.
