Composer, guitarist, producer and arranger, Manoel Cordeiro is one of the most influential figures in Amazonian music of recent decades. His work has played a key role in raising the profile and bringing wider recognition to genres such as guitarrada, modern carimbó and other musical expressions from the region. In this special concert, Cordeiro is joined by singer Euterpe, from Roraima. Through a repertoire that brings together memory, identity and musical innovation, they build a bridge between different territories, traditions and generations, celebrating the cultural diversity of Amazonia. Curcumbia is a musical project born from the meeting of musicians from diverse geographies, united by a passion for Latin American musical traditions. Rooted in the worlds of Peruvian and Colombian cumbia, the group takes a contemporary approach that combines traditional instruments, improvisation, psychedelia and electronic music. The result is a sonic journey across continents, cultures and eras, in which popular tradition is constantly reinvented through new artistic languages.
