In the second edition of this festival, Mário Teixeira once again conducts a group of seven professionals affiliated with Portuguese institutions of higher education that offer percussion programs. Spanning different generations of Portuguese composers, the concert combines the philosophical inquiry of Luís Antunes Pena, the instantly recognizable expressive world of Isabel Soveral, the poetry of António Pinho Vargas – with its undefined pitches – and João Moreira’s fusion of toys and conventional instruments.
