Born and raised in Olinda, in the state of Pernambuco, Diogo Andrade is a prime example of the cultural vibrancy of the Northeast. Since the early 1990s, he has been part of various projects as a guitarist and violinist. After the dissolution of the renowned band Pulso 100, he co-founded Parafusa, a group that would definitively establish him as a composer. His songs, rooted in melodic rock with strong popular appeal, explored carnival themes, unfinished romances, and characters from everyday urban life. In 2004, the release of the album Meio Dia na Rua da Harmonia cemented the band’s status as a benchmark for a generation of Pernambuco rock. After a long absence from the stage and now based in Portugal, Diogo is preparing his return – a new creative phase featuring the presentation of original compositions and reinterpretations of Parafusa’s hits, without losing sight of other iconic moments in his career as a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist.
