Drawings of Light: Cameraless Photography — Introduction to Lumen Prints

Explore the magic of cameraless photography in this hands-on workshop! Discover Lumen Prints, an alternative photographic process that uses natural light and organic materials to create unique, one-of-a-kind images. Learn how this method differs from traditional photographic development, and experiment with your own creations.
Participants will collect natural elements from Jardim do Carregal or Palácio de Cristal to use in their prints, and then develop their images individually under guidance.
For all ages • No prior experience required
All materials provided.

Rita Almeida Leite holds a degree and a postgraduate diploma in Fine Arts from FBAUP. In 2022, she completed an intensive course in Community Artistic Practices at PELE, a Cultural and Social Association. Her work spans Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and the production of publications. Inspired by everyday life, she closely observes light, nature, and the traces left behind by their passage. Her research explores image and memory, presence and absence, visibility and invisibility, turning ephemeral moments into tangible artistic impressions.
