TouchDesigner workshop with two guest artists, who will share their practices through guided, in-person tutorials.
Each artist will present one of their own techniques, guiding participants step by step through the creative process. At the end of the day, the works developed during the workshop will come together in a collaborative AV Jam.
The session will also have in-room support from Diana Romero and Zhang QinZhe.

Guest Artist Bio

Bárbara Paixão (Bombarral, 1994) is a new media digital artist who develops 2D visuals, interactive installations, and VJ sets. Motivated by the complementarity between art and technology, her practice focuses on exploring the interaction between the body and the computer. She finds the audiovisual installation format to be the most effective context for expanding interactive experiences. She frequently works with sensors that capture human presence and with real-time software systems. The use of real-time processes also allows her to create sound-reactive visuals and live-manipulated compositions, generating synesthetic experiences.

Dimitri Thouzery is a new media artist and immersive experience designer who has been fervently exploring the expansive realm of new media art. His creative journey is marked by a passion for pioneering interactivity, employing diverse sensors and databases to fashion immersive user experiences that transcend conventional boundaries. These innovative systems serve as conduits for users to connect with the universal and prompt contemplation on the very nature of reality. His portfolio spans a diverse range of projects, including music clips, VJing, interactive installations, building mapping, branding, live data visualizations all reflecting a steadfast commitment to pushing artistic and technological boundaries while fostering meaningful human connections.
