Afro Jazz is an artistic interpretation developed by dancer Edmilson Botelho, inspired by the work of André Vasco and the Afro Swing movement, an approach created by Mozambican dancers that combines traditional Mozambican dances with Authentic Jazz.
Building on this inspiration, Edmilson developed his own movement language, rooted in the traditional dances of São Tomé and Príncipe, incorporating influences from Afro House, Kuduro and other forms of contemporary African dance.
In these classes, we explore rhythm, groove, coordination, body awareness and musicality through exercises, choreographic sequences and improvisation.
A space for experimentation and creativity, where tradition and contemporary expression meet, celebrating the cultural origins of movement and each dancer's freedom of expression.
Open to all experience levels.
