The Women of Bouça are an independent organization of women residing in the Bouça geographical area in the city of Porto!

The intention is to create a space for debate, reflection, and participation of women, actively and participatively developing their experiences, knowledge, and skills, rescuing the memories and narratives of women.
By opening a space for the community, especially for the Women of Bouça, the aim is intergenerational participation, which takes us back to the reality of women, from before and after April 25, 1974, to the present.

Because, in current times, celebrating International Women's Day is an act of courage and resistance, it is necessary to continue celebrating the social, cultural, political, and economic achievements of women and to sow the seeds of the fight for equality, for labor rights, and against gender violence.
For this reason, the Women of Bouça launch the challenge for a gathering, which aims to be fertile ground and an occasion for us to encounter the transformative force that the present calls us to.

In a time to nurture memories, renew collective commitment, and daily resume the path of rejecting fear, we invite you to come celebrate, share, remember, and plan. This is a time to resist, and this gathering and celebration are living signs that the women of Bouça are standing strong and here to stay.

Join us on March 8th, starting at 7 PM, at Associação de Moradores da Bouça.
