St Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, gives her name to the International Music Festival taking place in Porto. Every Saturday, from 17 February until 23 March, at 4pm, at the Romantic Museum, young piano talents will perform compositions by Ravel, Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy, among others. Organised by the Porto City Council, with artistic direction from the Silva Monteiro Music Course, the IV Santa Cecília International Festival is the result of the 25th edition of the Santa Cecília International Competition, which took place in July 2023 at the Casa da Música. This competition annually hosts and presents the repertoire of more than a hundred pianists from all over the world.
