Twenty-five years after Porto 2001 – European Capital of Culture, and 30 years after the Historic Centre of Porto was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, BABELL brings together on stage two artists deeply rooted in the city’s emotional and cultural history, and central to the Portuguese music landscape over the past decades.

Celebrated by the city where they first established themselves, GNR and Pedro Abrunhosa share to the stage at Avenida dos Aliados for a unique and unrepeatable evening. Alongside their individual performances, they will come together to share the stage for two songs — one by GNR and one by Abrunhosa — in a rare and highly anticipated moment.

The concert will also feature special highlights: both GNR and Pedro Abrunhosa will premiere a new piece, created especially for BABELL, inspired by texts by some of Porto’s most renowned poets. All this, of course, alongside the defining classics from their respective repertoires.
